Computer Piano Man
Madison, NH - Dan Delaney has devised a piano instructional CD-ROM for anyone to learn his piano Method. No newcomer to teaching, Delaney taught traditional, one-on-one piano lessons for over 20 years. Then in 1989, he developed an onscreen, personalized video teaching method where he interacts with students scattered across the country via instructional video tape. Now, he has fine-tuned a step-by-musical step format which he has applied to the exploding interactive CD Rom market.

Brockton piano man now teaching Wagner by video
Dan Delaney begins playing a C major scale on the grand piano in his Brockton studio. He reaches for a pedal with his foot... It's not the sustain pedal; it's the zoom pedal on the video camera above the keyboard. Welcome to the video age of piano lessons. Delaney, a jazz pianist who was educated at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts, is one of the first, if not the first, in the region to conduct piano lessons by video tape. He makes a videotaped lesson and mails it to a student, who sends back an audiocassette of his or her performance. That was then, now Dan has the technology to perform almost a full year on 5 CD Roms and students don't have to mail back their results. Instead they are rated on the interactive computer CD's.

Multimedia World Magazine
This talking head does more than lecture. He really teaches piano- and at your convenience Delaney parlays his 20 years of instructing into a presentation style that is warm and engaging enough to captivate users as young as 10. Though Learn Piano lacks the gaminess of Jump Music's popular Piano Discovery, it systematically leads you from the basics through endeavors quite bold.

Maximize Windows Magazine
It's so complete and practical that it could easily serve as a substitute for a "live" lesson. Delaney a Jazz pianist and instructor (alumni at Berklee College of Music) is a relaxed and easy to follow guide through a variety of lessons on skill and music knowledge. The full screen video is outstanding with little distortion.
